2010-11 (Jr.): Singles: Went 11-12 in singles play, inlucing a 2-1 mark in tournaments... Split time between the No. 1 and No. 2 spots... Downed Tom Puetz of UAB 6-2, 6-1 in the Conference USA Quarterfinals on April 22... Posted a five-match win streak from March 5-17, including three straight-set victories... Fell to No. 61 Kellen Damico of Texas (1-6, 0-6) on Feb. 26 and No. 117 Ashley Watling of Tulsa (4-6, 6-7 (4-7)) on March 3... Picked up wins against Dennis Lengsfeld of Baylor (6-4, 4-6, 6-3) on Feb. 20 and Jakob Asplund of Utah State (6-3, 6-2) on Feb. 24... Defeated Aswin Vijayaragavan of UT-Pan Am. 7-5, 6-2 in the No. 1 spot on Jan. 22... Competed in the DiNovo All-American Championships in Oct., defeating Cale Hammond (6-4, 7-6 (7-3)) and Matheus Pereira (6-3, 6-0) before losing 2-6, 2-6 to Nelson Vick of Ohio State in the pre-qualifier bracket... Doubles: Went 3-3 in doubles action... Played primarily with Mischa Nowicki and Drew Petersen... Earned wins against UT-Pan. Am., UNLV and Prairie View A&M.

2008-09 (So.): Went 14-9 in singles play in his first season after transferring from UTA... Was a combined 11-4 between the No. 1 and No. 2 slots... Played the most doubles matches with Artem Baradach, as the duo teamed to go 4-4.

Prior to SMU: Played in the European Championships representing Spain... Participated in International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournaments in Japan, Egypt and South America... Won at the ITF tournament in Cairo, Egypt... Attended CiDEAD in Spain.

Personal: Majoring in business and marketing... Son of Leticia Soria and Joaquin Costa.
