DALLAS (SMU) - SMU diving coach Jim Stillson announced the signing of Bryce Klein to a National Letter of Intent today.

"I am very excited to add a diver of Bryce's caliber to our squad," Stillson said. "He has already proven to be a national finalist as well as an excellent student. He will have an immediate, very positive impact on the team."

Klein, a native of Southlake, Texas, is a three-time high school All-America having earned the honor each of the past three years. He is the 2012 USA Diving Junior National Champion in the three-meter dive and was a finalist at the 2012 Olympic trials. Klein is coached by Jeff Bro of GC Divers.

Klein is the son of former SMU All-America Krista Wilson Klein, who won the NCAA Championships twice and six Southwest Conference Championships, was a three-time U.S. Senior National Champion, and member of the United States National Diving Team from 1988-94. She was the winner of the 1991 NCAA Diver of the Year Award, the 1990 and 1991 Dallas All-Sports Association Champions Award, the 1990 and 1991 SWC Scholar/Athlete award, the 1991 GTE Scholar/Athlete award, the 1991 Southwestern Methodist University Scholar/Athlete award, the 1991 Texas woman of the year award, the 1991 NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship award and 1992 Who's Sam Award - exemplifying Integrity, Sportsmanship and high Moral Character.
