DALLAS (SMU) – Sophomore Bryce Klein and Senior Devin Burnett have qualified for the USA Diving National Championship in the three-meter dive, just a day after the pair punched their tickets in one-meter.

Klein earned runner-up honors for the second time in as many days with a 398.35, while Burnett, who posted a 391.80, followed in third. Parker Meinecke was the third Mustang to compete and qualified for today’s event final.

Klein also paired with Stanford’s Bradley Christensen in synchronized three-meter and scored a 364.05 to qualify in the top spot.

Burnett and Meinecke take on platform diving on Sunday to close out competition.

Four Zone Championships are held around the country, and at the Zone C Championship the top five divers who have not previously qualified in the one- and three-meter and the platform dive will advance to Knoxville. Also, the top three in synchronized events will move on.
