Complete Day One Results Get Acrobat Reader

AUSTIN, Texas (SMU) - SMU won the 400-yard medley relay as seniors Nicolai Hansen and Ryan Koops, junior Matas Andriekus and freshman Ziga Cerkovnik finished with a time of 3:16.10, as the SMU men's swimming team competed on day one of the American Short Course Championships in Austin, Texas.

In the other relay on day one, the Mustangs finished third as senior Ramom Melo, Hansen, Koops and Cerkovnik clocked a time of 1:19.87 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Individually for SMU, Melo placed third while Koops finished 13th in the 50-yard freestyle as they clocked times of 19.77 and 20.35 seconds, respectively.

SMU returns to action tomorrow for day two of the American Short Course Championships in Austin, Texas. Preliminaries begin at 9:15 a.m. CT and finals for those events are slated to start at 6 p.m. CT.
