SMU holds a 7-1 all-time record against Memphis. The teams last squared off on Oct. 23, 2010, as the Mustangs shut out the Tigers, 3-0, on goals by Juan Castillo, Arthur Ivo and Leone Cruz. Seniors Joe Cooper, Diogo de Almeida, Payton Hickey, Ivo, Ian Kalis, Ryan Rosenbaum and Adam Still will be honored before the game.

SMU lost to Kentucky, 2-0, on Oct. 30 in Lexington. The Wildcats jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals at 1:25 and 8:00. Redshirt junior goalkeeper Juan Robles saw his first action as a Mustang, coming in to play the second half for SMU.

SMU was defeated by UAB, 1-0, Oct. 26 at Westcott Field. The Blazers recorded the game's only tally in the 39th minute following a corner kick.

SMU had several scoring chances, many missing by just inches. Sophomore Robbie Derschang hit a header off of the crossbar following an SMU free kick in the 13th minute. In the 59th minute, de Almeida ran down the left side and fired a shot off of the left post. Ivo also had a quality chance when he set up for a free kick from 19 yards out in the 80th minute, but he too hit the crossbar.

Mustang goalkeeper Jaime Ibarra had another solid performance in goal, making six saves on the night. de Almeida also saved a UAB goal with his team save on the line in the 84th minute.

SMU shut out Missouri State, 1-0, on Oct. 21 at Westcott Field. de Almeida scored the game's only goal in the 60th minute. Following a Missouri State foul, Kalis stepped in to take a free kick from 28 yards out. de Almeida was just outside of the six-yard box and deflected Kalis' shot past the Missouri State goalkeeper and in. The tally was de Almeida's fourth of the season.

Ibarra had another strong showing in net as he earned his third clean sheet of the season. He made four stops on the night and intercepted several crosses in the box for the Mustangs.

SMU heads to Tulsa, Okla., for the Conference USA Championship. The Mustangs' first game will be in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at either 5:30 or 7 p.m.
