DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU men's soccer team held the eighth annual Jordan Mann Alumni Game this past Saturday after the Mustangs' final exhibition match against Incarnate Word. Over 40 alumni showed up to play in the event and celebrate the life of former student-athlete Jordan Mann.

Mann, who passed away in 2007, was a midfielder with the Mustangs in 2005. He played in all 18 matches making five starts and scoring his first collegiate goal.

"It was great to have the alumni back on campus to honor Jordan with this event," Head Coach Tim McClements said. "Seeing them back playing on Westcott Field is a great thing."

The Mustangs tied the match with Incarnate Word, and finished the 2014 preseason with a win and a pair of draws. In the three matches, SMU only conceded one goal.

The regular season opens on Friday at Michigan State with a 4 p.m. CT match-up. Visit SMUMustangs.com for ways to follow.
