DALLAS (SMU) - The No. 17 SMU men's soccer team suffered it's first loss in nine games (8-0-1) Sunday night as the Mustangs were defeated by UCF, 1-0, at the UCF Soccer Complex. With the loss, SMU moves to 8-3-2 on the season and is now 4-1 in Conference USA action. The Knights improve to 5-4-3 (2-1 C-USA).

UCF's Steven Lamberta scored the game's lone goal when he collected a loose ball in the box fired it home in the 69th minute.

The goal by UCF ended goalkeeper Jaime Ibarra's three-game shutout streak. Ibarra still managed to make five stops on the night for the Mustangs.

SMU continues its Florida road trip on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. match at conference foe FIU.
