2006: Team tri-captain with Mynor Gonzalez and Chase Wileman...selected as the Conference USA preseason Defensive Player of the Year and named to the preseason All-Conference USA team....preseason All-America second team selection by College Soccer

2005: Team tri-captain...started in all 23 games...anchor of the Mustang backfield...scored six goals and one assist on 36 shots (16 on goal)...posted the game-winning goal vs. South Florida...2005 All-Conference USA first-team and NSCAA/adidas Midwest Region first team selection...earned Soccer All-America third team honors.

2004: One of five players to start all 21 games...collected five assists...took nine shots (four on goal).

2003: Solid defender who saw action in 20 games, including 17 starts...posted one goal and one assist on 21 shots...member of the 2003 MVC All-Freshmen team.

High School: Four-year letterwinner and served as team captain for two years...selected as the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram Player of the Year in 2003...also three-time selection to the FWST All-Area team...named to the 2003 Dallas Morning News All-Area first team...two-time All-District selection...named District Newcomer of the Year (1999) and twice Offensive Player of the Year as well as Co-MVP...high school team posted a 63-27-1 the last four years, reaching the playoffs each two-time District champs (2000, 2001) and Bi-District champs in tied as the school's all-time leading scorer with 98 goals and 64 assists...member of the Dallas Texans club team, which earned three state cup championships and three regional championships.

Personal: Intends to major in business...full name is Jay Charles Needham...favorite food is lasagna...most prized possession is his car...would like to switch places for a day with David Beckham...has one younger sister...parents are Allyn and Cassandra Needham.
