2012 (So.): Started all 20 games... Played every minute (1920) on the season for the Mustangs... Scored the game-winning goal with 1:24 left in regulation 9/16 against UC Davis.

2011 (Fr.): Started all 21 games for the Mustangs... Played 1931 of a possible 1950 minutes on the season... Had an assist 11/20 vs. Akron in the NCAA Second Round... Netted a goal 11/13 against No. 17 UAB in the C-USA Championship game...Earned an assist on the overtime game-winning goal 9/16 vs. Dartmouth... Scored his first career goal in his first collegiate start 8/27 against No. 13 William & Mary.

Prior to SMU: Named the 2011 Texas Gatorade Player of the Year... 2010 ESPN Rise Texas All-State selection... Was a member of the USSF U18 men's player pool... Played club soccer for the Dallas Texans... Captained the U18 and U16 academy teams as well as the Dallas Texas 93 Boys Red squad... Led team to the 2009 USYSA National title, the 2009 USYSA National League title and the 2008 USYSA Region III title... Team was North Texas State Champions from 2006-09... Captained high school team his junior and senior seasons... Made the Dallas Morning News and Ft. Worth Star-Telegrams' All-Area teams... Named First Team All-District all four years... All-State Academic 2010-2011... Impact Player of the Year as a freshman; Utility Player of the Year as sophomore; Midfielder of the Year as junior; Offensive MVP as senior.

Personal: Chose SMU for the academic reputation and the rich history of the soccer program... Enjoys playing soccer on the X-Box... Lists Michael Vick as his favorite athlete because of his ability to overcome his mistakes and rise above adversity in order to succeed... Parents are Reginald and Bonnie Simmons... Father was team captain of the New Mexico State football team... Has one brother and one sister... Sister plays soccer for Rice.
