NORMAN, Okla. (GCAA/SMU) - The SMU Men's Golf team continued to rack up the scholastic honors Wednesday, as The Golf Coaches Association of America named the Mustangs an All-Academic Team.

To land a spot on the All-Academic Team list, a school must have a cumulative GPA no lower than 3.0.

This award comes on the heels of the GCAA announcing that Matt Schovee and Max Buckley were both named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars last Thursday. Both golfers qualified by competing in at least 70 percent of the team's rounds, averaging a stroke-average of 76 or better, and maintaining at least a 3.2 GPA.

A total of 125 teams qualified for a spot on the All-Academic Team list.
