SANTA MONICA, Calif. (GCAA/SMU) – SMU golfer Matt Schovee was selected to the PING All-Central Region team as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The senior joins 154 players across six regions who earned all-region honors for 2012.

The senior finished his Mustang career by tying for first place at the 2012 NCAA East Regional, carding a 213, 3-under par at the Grandover Resort’s East Course in Greensboro, N.C. A career-low 67 in the first round paved the way for the Englewood, Colo., native’s top result of his career.

The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) was established in 1958 and is located in Norman, OK. The GCAA is a non-profit organization and is the professional association of men's collegiate golf coaches.
