ATLANTA (SMU) - Mario Clemens shot an even 70 at the final round of the NCAA Championships, tying him for 16th overall in his final collegiate event. He finished at three-under par over the three-day event.
Clemens birdied his first hole of the day, putting him at four-under par and within three shots of the lead. He then bogeyed the par-3 third hole, birdied the fifth and bogeyed the ninth to finish the front nine at even par.
The senior would birdie the 12th hole to once again move to four-under par, but his bogey on the 16th would seal an even-par day and a three-under (207) final score. Clemens was at even par or better all three days at the NCAA Championship, carding rounds of 69, 68 and Thursday's 70.
California's Max Homa won the individual after carding a 66 in his final round, finishing at nine-under (201).
