ATLANTA (SMU) - SMU senior Mario Clemens carded a two-under 68 in his second round at the NCAA Championships in Atlanta on Wednesday, putting him just four shots off of the lead heading into the final day of stroke play.

The senior is three-under par overall, tying him for 16th. He is the highest-ranked individual in the field not playing for a competing team.

Clemens had a stellar back nine, collecting birdies on the 12th, 14th and 18th holes. After posting three bogeys on the front nine, Clemens did not suffer one over-par result over his final nine holes.

Clemens will tee off on the first hole tomorrow at 1:10 p.m. CT. Live scoring is available here.
