C-USA Championship Results

TEXARKANA, Ark. (SMU) - At 2-over par through 16 holes, Max Buckley came up with an eagle on No. 17 to get back into the hunt for his second individual medal in as many weeks. The senior finished the day with a 72, and is tied for fifth place, two shots out of first heading into tomorrow's final round of the Conference USA Championship at the Texarkana Country Club.

As a team, No. 40 SMU carded a 300 and sits in fifth place with 18 holes remaining. The Mustangs are behind four teams ranked in the top 45. No. 41 Memphis leads the tournament at 5-under par.

Matt Schovee carded SMU's second-lowest score of the day at 2-over (74). The senior produced four birdies in the round, with three coming on the back nine. He is tied for 12th at 2-over par. Brooks Price was two shots back of Schovee with a 4-over on the day.

Marc Sambol and Harry Higgs are currently tied for 31st place after going 6-over par (78) on the round after shooting 72's yesterday.

SMU will be paired with No. 33 UAB and Houston in tomorrow's final round. Price will be the first Mustang to tee-off at 8 a.m. CT.
