2015 - Summer: U.S. AMATEUR CHAMPION: Defeated Derek Bard, 7 and 6, in the final round of the U.S. Amateur Championship. Is the fourth SMU athlete to win the event, joining Hank Kuenhe (98), Colt Knost (07) and Kelly Kraft (11). Qualified in the No. 23 position after the first two rounds of stroke play. Defeated Robby Salomon, Matt NeSmith, Maverick McNealy, Paul Dunne and Sean Crocker in match play before facing Bard in the final. Is one of five golfers to win the NCAA Individual Title and U.S. Amateur in the same year (Nicklaus, Woods, Mickelson, Moore).

2014-15 (Jr.): NCAA INDIVIDUAL NATIONAL CHAMPION: Took individual medalist honors at the 2015 NCAA Division I Men's Golf National Championships, finishing at 8-under par, one shot better than Cheng-Tsung Pan of Washington; carded a 67 (-5) in the second round to take the lead; after dropping into a tie for third after his first nine holes of the final round, went 3-under over the final seven holes to regain the lead for good; became SMU's first-ever individual national champion and recipient of the Arnold Palmer Individual Champion Award; set a program record with a four-day total score of 280... Won in his first tournament of the season at the Erin Hills Intercollegiate (212, -4), shooting a 3-under 69 in the final round... Posted six total top-five finishes, including four straight to end the year... Placed third at The Goodwin (198, -12) with scores of 67-66-65, pushing SMU to a tie for the team win with UAB... Tied for third at the Robert Kepler Invitational (210, -3)... Had a runner-up result at the American Athletic Conference Championships (207, -9)... 2014 - Summer: Helped lead the USA to a win at the 2014 World Amateur Team Championships in Karuizawa, Japan; Posted an event record and course record 61 (-10) in the second round, totaling 11 birdies on the day and finishing the front nine with a record-low 29; birdied the final hole of the tournament to clinch the win for the USA... Advanced to the round of 16 at the 2014 U.S. Amateur...Advanced to the quarterfinals of match play at the U.S. Amateur Public Links... Advanced to the round of 16 at the Western Amateur after tying for second in the stroke play portion of the tournament... Missed qualifying for the U.S. Open by just two strokes at the qualifying event inColumbus, Ohio... Represented the United States at the 2014 Palmer Cup in England, winning one singles match and teaming with Stewart Jolly of LSU to win their opening doubles match.

2013-14 (So.): Won his match against Alabama's Trey Mullinax in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships... Tied for ninth during stroke play at the NCAA Championships, posting three rounds of 69 (-1)... Tied for seventh at the NCAA San Antonio Regional, including a first round 67 (-5)... Won his first collegiate tournament by taking medalist honors at the American Athletic Conference Championships... Tied for fifth at the Valspar Collegiate at -5...
