TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (SMU) – SMU senior wide receiver Jeremy Johnson was one of three players added to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List on Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc., announced. The award is presented to college football’s most outstanding receiver.
The Biletnikoff Award opened its Fan Vote this week as well. Every fan can vote once daily on the Biletnikoff Award Fan Vote page.
The aggregate fan tally will be counted as one official vote for semi-finalists (10 receivers), finalists (three) and the winner. Fans can access the Fan Vote page by clicking here.
Johnson ranks sixth nationally in catches per game and posted a career-high 159 receiving yards last week at TCU. The Tyler, Texas, native is averaging 104.5 yards per game, good for 18th in the NCAA and second in the conference.
Johnson had also been previously named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List, and was a preseason All-American Athletic Conference Third Team selection.
SMU opens American Athletic Conference play by hosting Rutgers this Saturday at 11 a.m. CT at Ford Stadium.
