DALLAS (SMU) - With kickoff just two weeks away, SMU Athletics today announced several changes aimed at improving the gameday experience on the Hilltop.

The Boulevard, chosen by Southern Living as one of the South's top tailgates, is adding a new attraction in 2013 - Mustang Alley. Located on Binkley Avenue, east of Bishop Boulevard and west of Ownby, Mustang Alley will be anchored by the Good Sport Tent & Patio, which will provide sports fans a place to catch all the college football action before heading into Ford Stadium to see the Mustangs. The spot will have multiple TVs, food from the Nodding Donkey and beverages for thirsty tailgaters. Mustang Alley will also have vendor booths, a photo booth, and a kids' area with inflatables and face painting. Mustang Alley will open to the public three hours prior to kickoff.

In the stadium, fans will notice new TVs in the concourse and new premium seating, including the new 233-seat Hall of Champions Club and nine new suites. Pregame introductions will also improve with the addition of increased pyrotechnics and the debut of a new team intro video.

SMU opens the season with a Friday-night, ESPN-televised home game against Texas Tech on Friday, Aug. 30. Tickets are almost sold out. To get your tickets, please call 214-768-4263 (SMU-GAME).
