Mustangs Set To Stampede Into Fall Practice
DALLAS (SMU)- With the 2013 season kicking off just 30 days from today, the SMU football team is set to stampede into fall practice later this week. Players will report to campus on Friday, Aug. 2, and the first practice is set for Saturday, Aug. 3. The Mustangs will conduct 29 practices over the following four weeks in preparation for their 2013 season opener - a Friday-night, ESPN-televised home game against Texas Tech on Friday, Aug. 30.
On the heels of their fourth-straight bowl appearance, the Mustangs' 2013 schedule is highlighted by six games at Ford Stadium on the SMU campus. In addition to the Red Raiders, other 2013 visitors to Ford Stadium will be Montana State and American Athletic Conference foes Rutgers, Temple, UConn and UCF.
