Greetings to all Mustangs. First of all, I'm unbelievably excited about the game against Tulane this weekend. If you didn't already know, the game has been moved up to 1:00 PM due to Hurricane Rita. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the storm. The silver lining in this cloud (no pun intended) is that my uncle, my aunt, and my cousins are evacuating Houston and will be in attendance at the game.

There is someone that I need to mention before I get any farther into this blog thing. First of all, whatever success we have this season, I credit it to our walking NATA Hall of Fame athletic trainer, Cash D. Birdwell. For those of you closely following my Heisman campaign, I thank you. Now the important part. Cash has said that at the end of this year he is going to retire. However, I am certain that if I win the Heisman, we will both be back for my senior season. So...don't just do this for me. Do this for Cash money and I and all the ankles that need a Hall of Fame tape job before practices and games.

In all sincerity though, Cash is a great trainer and has been more than good to me (even as an ignorant Freshman), and deserves all the accolades he receives. He's been around forever (I'm pretty sure he taped the Disciples ankles before the Last Supper). Well, not forever, but he does claim to be one day older than dirt. If you see him around, say hello and say thank you.

I can't imagine the number of lives you've influenced. Thanks for influencing mine.

Go Mustangs! Beat Tulane!

Email me with any questions.
