DALLAS (SMU) - SMU and Sewell Automotive Group will present the annual Phil Bennett Women's Football Clinic on Thursday, March 29, from 6-9 p.m. in the Hall of Champions on the third floor of the Loyd All-Sports Center. The event provides a chance for women to get together in a social setting and gain some insight into the game of football and the Mustang program.
The event starts with dinner and drinks and will feature a silent auction and classroom-type instruction from Coach Bennett and the SMU staff. The evening will wrap up with a touch football game down on the field.
In addition to the "classroom" instruction, other segments will involve coaches' wives talking about "what it's really like to be the wife of a coach" and a behind-the-scenes look at radio broadcasts by the team from the Mustang Radio Network.
Items up-for-bid in the silent auction will include a dinner with Coach Bennett, a trip to an away game with the team and sideline passes for an SMU home game among others.
Please contact Kemberli Sanderson at 214-768-4051 or via email at kemberli@smu.edu to buy a ticket ($50.00) or a table ($400.00) to the event.
