PROVIDENCE, R.I. (The American/SMU) - Commissioner Mike Aresco announced Tuesday the 2013 American Athletic Conference Football All-Academic Team. The 246-member list included 20 Mustang student-athletes.

To be nominated, a player must have a cumulative grade-point index of at least 3.0 and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters, or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, not including remedial courses.
