DALLAS (SMU) - SMU today signed a strong class of 21 student-athletes who will join the football team in 2014. Along with three January enrollees, 24 new Mustangs will suit up in the fall.

Running back Daniel Gresham and linebacker Inoke Ngalo are among the most highly-touted recruits, but SMU also added two players with NFL bloodlines, bringing in Darrel Colbert (Darrel Colbert/Kansas City Chiefs) and SMU legacy Tony Richards (Dave Richards/New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions & San Diego Chargers).

"We believe in this class," said SMU Coach June Jones. "There is some tremendous talent in this group and we think they will become great players at SMU. We have developed numerous NFL players in our time here and this group will be no different. This class will help us compete for championships."
