TEAM

The Mustangs had a 100-yard rusher (James Mapps with 149) and a 100-yard receiver (Zack Sledge 125) for the first time since the Arkansas State game in 2006

The Mustangs scored two TDs six seconds apart; Cedrick Dorsey ran for a 50-yard TD at 3:01 of the second quarter, Wilton McCray scored on the interception return at 2:55. The kickoff was un-timed on the touchback.

SMU had a season-high 257 rushing yards (was 181 against North Texas)

The interception return for TD by Wilton McCray was the second INT TD for SMU this season (Bryce Hudman against North Texas)

SMU's 28 points in the first half was the most since totaling 35 points in the opening half against Sam Houston State in 2006

INDIVIDUAL

Will Bonilla - had his first career interception (29 yard return)

Vincent Chase - receiving TD was his first of the season and second of his career

Cedrick Dorsey - 50-yard rushing TD was his first of the season and fourth of his career; it was also a career long

Jessie Henderson - now has 53 kickoff returns to move into a tie for fourth at SMU in attempts (ties/passes Jerry LeVias, 53 from 1966-68)

James Mapps    

  • Had two rushing TDs for the second time this season (two against North Texas)    
  • Has four rushing TDs on the season and six for his career    
  • Finished 26-149 for his first career 100-yard rushing game    
  • Was 14-103 rushing in the first half

    Wilton McCray - 23 yard interception return for TD was his second career interception and first career TD

    Thomas Morstead was 6-for6 on PATs to extend his SMU record for consecutive PAT makes to 51 (previous was Eddie Garcia, 34 from 1978-81).

    Cory Muse    

  • Had two sacks and now has five on the season and 14.5 for his career    
  • Had his second career forced fumble

    Emmanuel Sanders    

  • Was 6-95 receiving; now has 80 career receptions to move into 20th at SMU (passed Mike Richardson, 77 from    1966-68 and Rongea Hill, 77 from 1989-92)    
  • Also had 24 yards on 3 punt returns for 119 all-purpose yards (third straight game with 100-plus all-purpose yards)

    Zack Sledge    

  • Had a 38-yard receiving TD; his third TD of the season and fifth of his career    
  • Had 5 catches for a career-high 125 receiving yards and his first 100-yard game    
  • Had a career-long 36-yard kickoff return

    Justin Willis    

  • Now has 3251 career passing yards to move into 9th at SMU (passed Don Meredith, 3130 from 1957-59; Don King, 3077 from 1982-85)    
  • With 2 passing TDs, he has 34 for his career, which is tied for third at SMU (/tied Mike Ford, 34 from 1977-80; passed Lance McIlhenny, 33 from 1980-83)    
  • Now has 282 career completions, which is 7th    
  • now has 447 pass attempts for his career, which is 9th    
  • Had 304 yards of total offense and now has 3888 career yards to move into 9th at SMU (passed Craig James, 3805 from 1979-82; and Reggie Dupard, 3772 from 1982-85)
