2007: Redshirted; Prep: Voted the News-Journal's Newcomer of the Year as a freshman... Was credited with 88 tackles, a sack, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries as a sophomore... The 2003 TexasPrepXtra.com East Texas Sophomore of the Year... Played sparingly as a junior (three games) and senior (one game) due to injuries to both knees... In just two and a half games prior to suffering an ACL injury in his left knee as a junior, notched 986 yards of total offense and was credited with 16 tackles... Rated as the No. 69 player in the state of Texas by Scout prior to his senior season... Rated a Top-20 Defensive Back by Texas Football... Hurt his other knee in his first game as a senior after running for 90 yards on just nine carries... Reached the state championship in the long jump as a sophomore and was a member of Spring Hill's 1,600-meter relay team that finished third at regionals in 2007...
