Sanders Named First-Team All-AAC

Sophomore Honored By The League's Coaches

Sophomore (2014): Played in 10 games, starting four games and totaling 23 receptions for 188 yards... Also had 37 kick returns for 759 yards... Had 10 kick returns for an SMU-record 203 yards at UCF, including a 64-yard return... Had a season-best seven catches for 57 yards against USF... HONORS: Second Team All-American Athletic Conference selection as a kick returner... SCHOOL RECORDS: Single game kick return yards (203) and kick returns (10)... Season kick return yards - seventh (759) and total returns - fifth (37)... Career kick return yardage - sixth (1,129).

Freshman (2013): Played in seven of SMU's final eight games at wide receiver and kickoff returner... Season-high three catches for 18 yards (long of 10) in SMU's win over Temple... Also had four kickoff returns for a season-high 131 yards against Temple, including an 87-yard return, the 16th longest in SMU history... Enrolled at SMU in January 2013.

Prep: Spent one season at Atlanta Sports Academy, a prep school... Had three picks in 2012 at ASA... Was a three-star Scout.com recruit as a high school senior... A two-star Rivals.com, 247sports.com and Scout.com prospect in 2013... Invited to play corner in the Under Armour All-American Bowl in 2012... Played both wideout and corner in high school... Also lettered in track... Had an offer from Houston as a prep senior.

Personal: Father Deion Sanders, Sr., played football and baseball at Florida State, played baseball professionally with the Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves, San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees, and played football professionally with the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens.
