Freshman (2008): Played in the first five games, starting at Texas Tech... Had five stops against the Red Raiders... Notched three tackles and a pass breakup in the season opener at Rice; 2007: Redshirted... A member of the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Prep: A two-year letterwinner at Allen, where he earned All-District 9-5A linebacker accolades as a senior... Also an academic All-State selection... Lettered in track and powerlifting as well.
