Junior (2006): A second-team All-Conference USA selection by the media and a third-team selection by the coaches... Given the team's "M" Association award for hard work, determination and team spirit... Ranked second on the team and 12th in C-USA with 80 tackles... Also notched 10 tackle-for-loss, four sacks, four pass breakups and a forced fumble... Had 11-tackle games at UTEP and ECU... Sacked the QB twice in the win over Sam Houston... Started all 12 games... Helped anchor an SMU defense that led C-USA and ranked 24th in the nation against the run; Sophomore (2005): Saw time in all 11 games, starting at UAB... Had 21 tackles on the season with a season-high seven at UAB... Had five takedowns against Rice... Also notched two pass breakups and 1.5 tackles-for-loss on the year; 2004: Sat out as a medical redshirt; Freshman (2003): Played in 10 games, starting two at the middle linebacker position... Got starts against Tulsa and Fresno State... Notched 13 stops against the Golden Hurricane and 10 against the Bulldogs... Had 32 tackles on the year; 2002: Redshirt; Prep: Named first-team All-District at linebacker as a senior at Tomball High School... Team and defensive captain his senior year... Led team with 94 tackles as a senior, including 70 solo stops... Also picked off three passes... Injured his junior year... Coached in high school by Pat Patterson...
