Football at Baylor - Sept. 2, 2012

Football drops season opener at Baylor

Junior (2011): Saw time in 12 games, primarily on special teams... Had 26 stops, including 14 solo... Also tallied 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks... Had a season-high four tackles in back-to-back weeks against Tulsa and Tulane.

Sophomore (2010): Saw action in all 14 games... Had 11 tackles and a TFL... Returned a kick against Army... Began season with a TFL at Texas Tech... Had two tackles against Rice and UTEP.

Freshman (2009): Saw time in all 13 games, mostly on special teams... Notched 10 tackles on the year including a sack in SMU's Hawaii Bowl win.

2008: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

Prep: Anchored one of the area's top rush defenses and was third in the state with 206 tackles as a senior... Also had 21 catches for 468 yards, six TDs as tight end... Sunbelt League Defensive Player of the Year... A three-year letterwinner in football and basketball... A two-time All-League, All-Valley and All-CIF selection

Personal: Son of Colleen and Mike Davis... Has two older sisters, Amanda and Ellen... Business major... Nicknamed "Spike."
