Mustangs Fall 65-51 at TCU

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -- Corey Santee scored 18 points and Nile Murry added 17 as TCU defeated SMU 65-51 on Sunday.

Santee hit 7-of-11 from the field, including 3-of-6 3-pointers. All of his points came in the second half. Murry was 5-of-10 from the field and hit all three of his 3-pointers and all four of his free throws.

TCU (6-3) used a 25-8 run over an 8:11 span to break the game open in the second half after leading 26-19 at the half.

Patrick Simpson led SMU with 14 points, putting him over the 1,000-point mark for his career with 1,005 points. He also had 10 rebounds for his 11th career double-double. Eric Castro added 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Mustangs (3-3).

Marcus Sloan scored 11 points for TCU, which led throughout.
