DALLAS (SMU) - On the heels of a record-breaking season for SMU Men's Basketball, another record has been set on the Hilltop, as Moody Coliseum is sold out for the 2014-15 season. SMU has sold over 5,000 season tickets for the upcoming hoops season, maxing out Moody capacity.

"This is exciting news and tangible evidence of the momentum we have on the Hilltop," said SMU Director of Athletics Rick Hart. "This was a team effort by our ticket office and ticket sales and marketing staffs and I want to congratulate them on their work. I also want to thank our fans for responding to the outstanding efforts of our men's basketball student-athletes and coaching staff. We are looking forward to another year of Moody Magic."

The Mustangs went 18-1 at home, setting a record for home victories that included a 12-1 mark inside Moody Coliseum. SMU also set a new season attendance record and sold out nine of 13 games in Moody. SMU had the fourth-largest increase in NCAA men's basketball attendance in 2013-14 and is second nationally in increased attendance since 2012.

SMU finished 27-10 overall after reaching the NIT title game. The Mustangs were in the top 25 in four of the last five regular season polls and were one of five American Athletic Conference teams ranked in the final week of the regular season. SMU finished tied for third in the inaugural season of The American, going 12-6 with two wins over Connecticut as well as wins over Cincinnati and Memphis.

While total capacity is close to 7,000, SMU reserves a limited number of tickets for students, faculty, staff, recruits, visiting teams and scouts.
