SMU Sold Out Nine Of 13 Games In Moody Coliseum Last Season

DALLAS (SMU) --- SMU had the fourth-largest increase in men's basketball attendance in 2013-14 and is second nationally in increased attendance since 2012. In 2013-14, SMU averaged 5,653 fans per home game, an increase of 2,210 over the previous season. The Mustangs are up 3,640 per home game since 2012.
SMU went 18-1 at home last season, setting a record for home victories that included a 12-1 mark inside the renovated Moody Coliseum. The Mustangs set a new season attendance record at 107,412, which included nine sellouts in 13 games at Moody.
SMU ranked No. 12 nationally for increased attendance a year ago, going from 2,013 in 2011-12 to 3,443 in 2012-13. SMU and Iowa are the only two programs to be in the top 20 in each of the past two seasons. SMU's attendance increase of 3,640 per game since 2012 trails only Nebraska (5,400).
SMU enters 2014-15 following a 27-10 season that saw it earn a No. 1 seed in the NIT and eventually reach the title game. SMU was in the top 25 in four of the last five regular season polls, and one of five American Athletic Conference teams ranked in the final week of the regular season. SMU finished tied for third in the inaugural season of The American, going 12-6 with two wins over eventual NCAA Champion Connecticut as well as home victories over Cincinnati and Memphis.
SMU's 2014-15 American Athletic Conference home schedule includes defending NCAA Champion Connecticut as well as Cincinnati, Memphis, Tulsa, East Carolina, Houston, Temple, UCF and USF. The eight non-conference home games include Arkansas and Wyoming.
