2011-12 (Freshman): Played 15 games (5 starts)...Averaged 1.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and had 13 assists...Game Highlights: Grabbed 3 rebounds in 3 minutes in the win vs. Tulane 2/22...Added 5 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal in his first start, a 65-64 win vs. Florida Gulf Coast 11/19...Had 8 points on 2-2 FG, 1-1 3FG, 3-4 FT in SMU debut vs. McMurry 11/11.

2010-11 (Redshirt): Practiced with the team, but did not play.

Prep: Was a forward for coach James Graffam at Lee Academy in Maine...The native of Latvia helped his high school to two Riga city championships and two national runner-up finishes...Was second in scoring and first in rebounds for his high school squad...Had personal game-highs in high school of 34 points and 18 rebounds...Also played in the U16 and U18 European Championships and was a member of the Latvian Youth Basketball all-star team.

Personal: He is the son of Raimonds and Irina Vilde...His sister Evija is an outside hitter for the UCF volleyball team...His father Raimonds was a member of the Soviet Union's silver-medal volleyball team at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea.
