Coaching For Literacy (CoachingForLiteracy.org): Jonathan Wilfong and Andrew Renshaw, two then-high school seniors from Memphis, Tennessee, founded Coaching for Literacy in 2012. Coaching for Literacy partners with sports teams for a unique game-day experience. The mission of Coaching for Literacy is to increase awareness about the number of people in America who are functionally or totally illiterate and the social problems associated with illiteracy. By leveraging the unique power of sports, Coaching for Literacy supports local literacy programs and schools focused on educating elementary and middle school students. SMU hosted two CFL events in 2014-15 (1/31/15 vs. UCF and 2/19/15 vs. Temple). During the summer of 2015, Coach Larry Brown joined the advisory board of Coaching for Literacy.
