The SMU Soccer Academy is one of the premier soccer camps in the United States. Coach McClements and his experienced staff of coaches direct the Academy. All camps are located on the beautiful campus of Southern Methodist University.
Residential Camps (ages 10-14)
The Residential Overnight Camp is designed for players who want to participate in a challenging but fun soccer experience. Once at the SMU Soccer Academy, players will be broken into small groups based on age and skill level. During the morning sessions, we will teach and correctly demonstrate the skills needed to improve the player's individual technique. In the afternoon sessions players will be taught tactics and play small-sided games. The evening session consists of full-sided games in tournament format. During these games, the players are able to demonstrate the technique and tactics learned during the day. At the end of the camp, each player will be given an evaluation that will provide feedback on how they can improve.
College Prep Camp (ages 15-18)
The College Prep Camp is designed for our older campers and will give them an opportunity to experience what it is like to be a student-athlete at SMU. The College Prep Camp will feature morning technical sessions based on the training conducted for the SMU Men's Soccer Team. Afternoons will consist of tactical sessions and small-sided tournaments. The evening session will feature full-sided games. Many of the participants in this camp have aspirations to play soccer at the collegiate level; therefore we try to assist these players by giving them as much insight into the recruiting process as we can. The SMU Soccer Academy employs numerous college soccer coaches who can answer any questions the players may have during the camp. The SMU Men's Soccer Coaching Staff along with the college coaches working at the camp will host a recruiting process panel discussion. The panel discussion is open to all parents.
Team Discount (overnight camps only)

The afternoon sessions will focus on the fundamental tactics of goalkeeping such as positioning, distribution and communication. In the evening, the goalkeepers will join the field players to compete in tournament games where they will be allowed to demonstrate what they have learned. Each goalkeeper will be given an evaluation that will provide feedback on how they can improve. At the SMU Academy, goalkeepers can be confident they are getting the highest level of training possible.
All meals will be provided at the SMU cafeteria which features a wide variety of dining options to meet our campers' needs. The SMU cafeteria will provide the meals necessary to fuel our campers for a week of successful training. Meals are all-you-can-eat to ensure that every player's needs are met.

Located near the SMU Soccer Fields, the rooms are air conditioned, comfortable and convenient. Each room has a telephone that can receive incoming local and long distance calls. For those campers who will be arriving by airplane, Dallas offers two airports that you may choose from. The first airport is DFW, which is the areas major airport. The second is Love Field, which is located very close to the SMU campus. Every major airline has flights into DFW and Southwest Airlines has flights into Love Field. Standard taxi fare from these two airports is $25-$50 each way. SMU Soccer Academy has made arrangements to provide service for $15 each way from DFW, and $10 each way from Love Field. The SMU Soccer Academy recommends flying Southwest Airlines into Love Field. For those making flight reservations, check-in is from 1:00-2:00pm and check-out begins at 11:00am. Ideal flight times arrive between 10:00am and 12:00pm and depart between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. For your convenience, please pay the driver at the time of pick-up. Be sure to notify us of your flight information by contacting Karen McClements at firstname.lastname@example.org or 214-642-1738 no less than ten (10) days before your camp starts. This will help us to confirm your arrival and departure times and ensure that your travel needs are met.
