
SMU supports the development of a well-balanced lifestyle for student-athletes, encouraging emotional well-being, personal growth and decision-making skills. Personal Development activities include guest speakers, one-on-one sessions, seminars and activities.
Requirements:
> Freshmen must participate in the "Ponies 2 Stangs" transition program
> All Sophomore, Junior and Senior student-athletes must participate in one fall and one spring semester personal development programming activity.

> Freshmen will fulfill their requirement with the "Ponies 2 Stangs" transition program
> There will be 2 opportunities in the fall (October & November) and 2 opportunities in the spring (March & April) for Sophomores, Juniors and Senior student-athletes to fulfill their requirement
