I decided to go blog-free last week as it was Christmas week. It is good to be back. We had a nice holiday. We relaxed, but didn’t have much time off. Our team traveled back from our Northwestern game on Christmas Eve and then we had practice on Dec 26th at 7pm. That is the tough thing about college basketball. Two days off is about the max. Our out of town players flew home and had only one full day to be with their families.

Tonight we resume play against a pesky UT-San Antonio team. They are small and quick. To go along with that they shoot the ball extremely well. It will be a challenge for us. The decisions I have to make are: a) do I go with a small lineup and try to match their quickness and play man defense or, b) do I play bigger and go with some zone defense, which they struggled with in their last game???

One thing I feel for sure, our guys will play hard. Even though we lost at A&M and at Northwestern, our players competed. We are getting better.
