On Friday, we had a tall visitor to our practice today!

NBA great Dikembe Mutombo came by practice today to observe and talk to the players. SMU alum Paul Loyd set this up for us as he has helped Dikembe with some of his charity work. Dikembe was in town for a function and worked his schedule out so he could visit our practice. It was a thrill for all of us. Dikembe delivered a great message to the team. The message included topics such as – discipline, networking, education, hard work, focus, sacrifice, giving back, attire…. He especially connected with Bamba, to no surprise, as they are both big men from Africa! He took Bamba aside and talked about rebounding, diet, weight training, blocking shots. It was a terrific visit. We appreciate Paul and Dikembe making this happen.
