"A Little Touch"
This weekend members of the Doherty Clan converged on Dallas for a little R&R! Nieces, nephews and sisters traveled from the Northeast to watch the Mustangs play, visit with family, eat Tex Mex and play a little.......touch football!!!
I haven't played two-hand touch in years....but I still got it!!! It was fun to hear "one Mizsippi, two Mizsippi, three Mizsippi" again! It was fun to draw up plays on my shirt and sling the pigskin around the park.
I hate to brag, but I threw for 5 TD's and we won 35-14!! Unofficially, I was the MVP and should be getting a Disney Trip out of the deal! I am disappointed that Jerry Jones hasn't called me yet as Romo's backup. I am 6-7 with a cannon and can throw darts on the run!
The winning team included nephew Ken, who was golden as a receiver, sister Maureen, niece Jenny, daughter Hattie and some guy named Doug. (My sister invited two strangers in the park to join us. Who said NY'rs aren't friendly?)
After we dominated our opponents - son Tucker, nephews Tim and Matthew, Aimee, niece Maura and some guy named Steve. We celebrated the Doherty Bowl over Tex Mex!
Great day, great weekend.......but, boy, I have been sore for two days!
Pony Up!
