"Thanksgiving Holiday"
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays as it is a laid back holiday, not a lot of fan fare, but a quality family break. It is a time to give thanks for all of the many blessings we do have. I spent the morning playing Madden 09 with my son and then we walked the dog to a park where we threw the football for about an hour. Dinner was at 2pm. We ate and watched the Cowboys at 4pm. Assistant KC Beard joined us along with Paulius Ritter and his wife, Saiqa. It was a good day to hang out with the family and some friends.
Today we went back to work as my staff and I graded the TCU game from Wednesday night. I dreaded watching it, but I wanted to learn from our mistakes. It took about three hours to evaluate the tape. We also made about 60 clips to show the team, which we did this afternoon before practice. We have plenty of areas where we need to improve. A big challenge for us this week was the fact we played four games in six days. A young team with new faces needs quality repetition in practice, so I hope we can get that starting today.
