I went to see Coach Jones' team practice this morning in the pouring rain! It was fun to see another coach manage a practice. I am always trying to find something that can be applied to our practices. Some observations:
- an assistant coach used a microphone to communicate to the team
- the assistants do a lot of the hands-on coaching
- special teams are important
- there was a positive energy and an upbeat tempo to practice

I can't wait to see the football team open at Rice! I will be there!!!
