"First Meeting"

This past weekend most our new team arrived on campus to attend "Summer 2", our second summer school session. Tonight we had our first formal team meeting to discuss our core values of Respect, Trust and Commitment (RTC)......or rules and regulations, academics, proper behavior, schedules, etc. It is an exciting time as we are going into year three as a new program. With each year the foundation is getting stronger and stronger. I can sense the maturity and energy that this group seems to have. I believe we are putting the pieces together for our program to take off. Being in our new locker room and talking to a new group gave me a feeling that really excites me. New faces, new leaders, new season!

Our goals are to "Flip it!' As in our record! Our goal it to win 20 games, go the Sweet 16 and win the C-USA Championship. Our depth should be better, our defense will improve and our assist: turnover ratio MUST be positive next year!

This is the "Summer of Extra". I want our players to work extra hard and become "Tough as Nails" so that we have a successful season this winter!
