Today I was invited to join former players David Miller, Donnie Berg, Larry Delzell and Bobby Rollings for lunch at Coach Prewitt's house. Dave and Donnie picked me up and took me to see "Coach". Larry and Bobby were there already with Mrs. Prewitt and their daughter, Cathy. We were welcomed into Coach's home and we all sat around Coach Prewitt as he is recovering from hip replacement surgery. He was in great spirits, especially with his former players around him.

The feeling that stuck with me as I sat there listening to the old stories was the respect that these successful men, who graduated thirty-plus years ago, had for their coach. Imagine how good "Coach" felt to have these grown men come to visit him in his home? Wow! That is a sign of a successful coach....a winner!

When we were leaving the house Donnie "Horse" Berg said he learned so many lessons from "Coach" that he still reflects on today!

I only hope that some former players of mine come by my house thirty years from now to have lunch! That would be really cool!
