Today I joined my son's fourth grade class on a trip to Fossil Rim! With lunch, sun screen and Tylenol packed, we traveled 1 1/2 hours to the beautiful land of Glenrose, TX. Memories poured back to St. Raphael's circa 1974 with bus trips to Great Adventure amusement park in NJ or our trip to Philadelphia to see the Liberty Bell. Trips were different back then......yellow buses and bagged lunches. Today we had the bagged lunch, but we traveled on a luxury bus with A/C and a DVD player!!!

Tylenol came in handy after our "safari" through Fossil Rim....giraffes, zebras...the jungle kind, not the ones with two legs....and 16 kids that get loud and don't always listen! Surprising? Not! They are kids and good kids at that. Ms. Miller does a great job teaching these kids at Hyer Elementary.

I was glad to be a part of today's trip! It was fun to spend time with my son and his classmates!
