It is a fun time of year to watch the NBA as the level of intensity picks up! We have seen some great games – Philly beating Detroit in game one, the Spurs/Phoenix series is more like an NBA Finals! Everyone seems to think that we will see a Lakers/Celtics finals. Ahhh, memories of the mid-80’s with Magic and Bird! Good times.

Let’s hope our Mavericks turn the tide at home against Chris Paul and the Hornets. Paul has been amazing. I remember recruiting him when I was at UNC. Since we already had Raymond Felton, Chris was a “tough get”. He was little, but a great kid with good parents. Back then I didn’t envision his body holding up to accomplish all that he has accomplished in college and the NBA. He is fun to watch.
