Merriam-Webster's defines "competitor" as "one that competes".

"Compete" is defined as "to strive consciously or unconsciously for an objective (as position, profit, or a prize)."

I question our competitive nature at times.

Are we naturally competitive?

I played with one of the greatest competitors in Michael Jordan. We played for one of the greatest competitors in Dean Smith.

One of my favorite MJ stories is when we were on a road trip and I beat him in pool. It made him mad. He looked at the small pool table. Then he threw down his pool cue and said, "This table isn't even regulation!"

MJ didn't like to lose....at anything!
