We arrived at the arena at Southern Miss about an hour and fifteen minutes before tip.

Now the hard part for me.....the wait! I find a place to sit and try to stay out of the way and look over my notes. Today I brought the recent SI Magazine so I can relax a little and not over analyze the game. My notes are tucked in my pocket....."the hay is in the barn."

Random thoughts jump into my head:

• Will Derrick play tonight? He turned his ankle the other day against UH and hasn't practiced, but a few possessions yesterday. Poor guy hasn't had a break re injuries during his career.
• How is Paulius's hand? He is starting tonight because USM is a very physical team that rebounds very well. His hand hasn't been well in several weeks. Will he be productive like he was earlier in the season?
• How will the freshmen respond to an aggressive team on the road?

Anxiety, nerves, restlessness.....
