SMU Athletics Announces Improvements To `PonyUpTV'

DALLAS (SMU) – SMU’s official athletics website,, has announced the launch of its improved video channel, PonyUpTV.


New features include DVR capability, allowing users to pause, rewind and fast-forward live content. All footage will be auto archived to allow for instant access after a match. Fans can also watch live events from their mobile device with full DVR capability from their phone or tablet. The new player also allows for smoother video streaming across multiple devices.


PonyUpTV will provide home game content for all men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball matches as well as football post-game press conferences. In all, over 100 events will be covered during the 2013-14 athletic season. In addition, fans will get free access to features and other video segments produced by the department’s new MustangVision staff. Feature stories will include behind-the-scenes stories and interviews with Mustangs representing all of SMU’s athletic programs.


PonyUpTV is an online, subscription-based video streaming service. Fans can access PonyUpTV for $9.95 per month or $79.95 per year.
