BuckBranch Farm

A new era in SMU equestrian has arrived, with the move to a new facility, in September, 2009, BuckBranch Farm in Wilmer, Texas.

BuckBranch Farm is a new facility located in the southern edge of Dallas County. Ashley Arena measures 100x200 feet, is completely covered and is attached by covered walkway to a state-of-the-art stable containing 34 12x12 stalls. There is a feed room, tack room, and office/bathroom complete with toilet and shower. Stalls on the outside aisles have windows and stalls on the inside aisles have openings above the door. Our covered arena has an unmatched lighting system, allowing you to ride well into the night.

The facility also includes one outside jumping arena as well as two dressage arenas. The 120 acre landscape is also surrounded by numerous trails.

The Farm has been dedicated a Texas Historic Farm after being operated by the same family for more than 100 years. Turney Buck Ashley married Exa Branch Clay, and the farm first opened around 1876.
